Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how the Shri Khambhalay Mataji mobile application for iOS and Android handles information. The app provides temple information, darshan, bhajans, events, announcements, devotional media, contact options, and seva-related information.

This policy applies to the mobile app only. Separate private administration tools are not covered by this policy.

2. Information We Collect

The mobile app may collect or store the following information:

• App preferences such as selected language and appearance setting, stored locally on your device.
• A generated app installation identifier used to associate app preferences, notification registration, and saved bhajan favorites with an installation.
• Where available, device and app information such as platform, operating system version, app version, device model, manufacturer, device name, device type, and hardware information.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service registration tokens, notification permission status, and selected notification topics when notifications are enabled or requested.
• Saved bhajan favorite identifiers and update timestamps associated with the app installation.

The app does not require a devotee account and does not intentionally collect your name, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location. The app may open an external map service when you request directions, but the mobile app does not use GPS to track your location.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide and update temple content and app features.
• Remember language, appearance, and saved bhajan preferences.
• Deliver temple notifications when you grant notification permission.
• Maintain notification registration and topic subscriptions.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the mobile app.

We do not sell personal information and do not use the mobile app data for cross-app advertising or tracking.

4. Firebase and Other Services

The app uses Firebase services, including Firestore, Storage, and Cloud Messaging, to deliver content, store app-related records, and send notifications. Firebase may process information on our behalf under its own privacy and security practices.

When you choose an optional action, the app may open Google Maps, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, email, calendar, or an external payment/UPI service. Those services receive information according to your action and their own privacy policies. We do not control the privacy practices of external services.

5. Notifications

Notifications are optional. If you allow them, the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iOS, Apple Push Notification service to deliver temple updates. You can disable notifications or change notification permissions at any time in your device settings.

6. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Language, appearance, app installation, and similar preferences may be stored locally on your device. Removing the app generally removes local data, but a server-side notification registration may not be deleted automatically.

We retain notification registration and app-operation records only for as long as reasonably needed for app operation, temple communication, security, troubleshooting, or legal obligations. You may contact us to request deletion of app-related records associated with your installation. We may ask for enough information to verify and locate the relevant record.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures and Firebase security controls to protect app-related information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Children

The app is a general devotional and informational app. It is not directed toward knowingly collecting personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its services, or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be available through the app and this policy page.
