Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how the Shree Khambhalay Maa iOS and Android applications collect, use, store, and clear information. The app provides temple information, darshan, bhajans, aarti, events, announcements, devotional media, notifications, and saved content without requiring a user account.

2. Optional device profile

You may provide your name, surname, city, country, and a profile photo to personalize the app. These profile details are stored locally on your device. They are not used for Google, Apple, email, or social-login authentication.

3. Device and notification information

When notifications are requested, we may store Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service tokens, notification permission status, platform, app version, device model, operating-system version, optional profile name and location, and last-active information. This is used to deliver temple notifications to app installations and maintain notification reliability.

Notifications are optional and can be disabled in device settings.

4. Profile photos and permissions

The app requests camera or photo-library access only when you choose to add or replace your profile photo. The selected image is kept as a local device image and displayed as a round profile photo. Declining permission does not prevent app use, but it prevents you from adding a photo until access is granted.

5. Saved content and app activity

We may store saved bhajans, likes, feedback, notification preferences, language, appearance preferences, app-install identifiers, and relevant timestamps to provide device features and improve reliability.

6. Firebase and external services

The app uses Firebase Authentication anonymously for device-scoped features, Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging. It may open Google Maps, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, email, calendar, or external payment services when you choose those actions. Those services apply their own terms and privacy policies. The app does not use Google or Apple for mobile sign-in.

7. Retention and clearing data

Local profile details and preferences remain on the device until you edit them, clear app data, or remove the app. Device and notification records may be retained as reasonably needed to operate the service, deliver notifications, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. We use Firebase security controls and reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The app is a general devotional and informational service. It is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child’s information.
